Will missing a payment impact my credit file?
If the missed payment is addressed quickly, it may not need to be reported to the credit bureau. If the missed payment is not resolved, then it will be noted on your credit file, which may affect the availability and cost of future borrowing for you.
Is there a late repayment fee?
No, but you’ll continue to accrue interest on the outstanding balance. If you’re late for a payment, you’re essentially paying interest on the portion of the principal that you would have repaid in that instalment for slightly longer, so the interest to pay may be appropriately higher.
