Can I use my contactless Kroo card on the Transport for London (TfL) network?

Yes, you'll be able to use your card as soon as it’s activated.

Do I need to register my Kroo card with TfL?

No, but we recommend that you set up an online TfL account and register your physical card to track your fares.

How will the TfL fares show on my statement?

Your Kroo statement will always refer to TfL as either 'TfL.gov.uk/CP' or 'TfL Travel', followed by the type of the transaction ('Charge' or 'Refund').

Remember that these transactions may show on your account delayed – learn more about delayed transactions here.

What happens if I touch in with my physical Kroo card and touch out with a different card?

Always use the same card while completing your TfL journeys. If you use a different method of payment at the start and end of your journey, TfL will see charge these trips as incomplete and will typically charge the maximum fare on both cards.

Important: If you pay for TfL using Apple or Google Pay, always use the same device to touch in and touch out to avoid being charged twice.
