It's possible to switch your personal current account to or from Kroo Bank. However, as we are not a member of Current Account Switching Service, we don't fully support this service. This means that moving your Direct Debits, Standing Orders and other scheduled payments by yourself is still the fastest and most efficient way to do it. We have provided some information to help you do this at the bottom of each switch section below.

I want to switch from my old bank account to a Kroo account.

You can apply to switch your existing current account to Kroo Bank by filling out this Switch Mandate. The Switch Date must be at least 20 working days after we receive your fully completed Switch Mandate. Kroo Bank will send your Switch Mandate to your existing current account provider within 2 working days of receiving it from you. Please ensure your Switch Mandate is fully completed.

Any current account held with any UK bank can be switched to Kroo Bank, provided:

  • It’s not a joint account.
  • You have a Kroo Current Account.
  • The accounts switched are held in the same currency (pounds only).
  • You complete a Switch Mandate.

Alternatively, if you would like to move your account to Kroo:

Once your Kroo Current Account is open, you will have instant access to the Kroo app where you can manage your account.

  • You can find your account details in-app under ‘Accounts’ > ‘Account details’. You can send this information to people and organisations who want to pay you.
  • You can set up Direct Debits and standing orders by clicking on the ‘Scheduled’ tab found underneath your balance and following the on-screen steps.
  • You can transfer your credit balance from your old current account by clicking the ‘Add Money’ button found next to your balance on the ‘Home’ page. This service uses Open Banking. Alternatively, you can transfer money from your old current account to your Kroo account using your Kroo Account details.
  • You can then cancel all relevant Direct Debits and standing orders on your old current account and close it, if you want.
