Why do you need my tax residency information?

Under UK law, Kroo has to provide information to HMRC about the tax status of our current account customers. HMRC may then share this with the relevant tax authorities outside of the UK.

When you open an account with us, we ask you for this information, including the countries you are a tax resident and for your Tax Identification Number (TIN).

You could be a tax resident in a country where you live or work, or for some countries if you were born there or hold citizenship, but we’re not able to give you advice on this.

You can usually ask your embassy in the UK if you’re unsure of your tax status.
