You can set up the payees in 2 ways: from the 'Kroo' tab, or by using the 'Send' option under your balance in the 'Home' tab of your app.
To set up a new payee from the 'Kroo' tab:
- Open your Kroo app and head to the ‘Kroo’ tab at the bottom.
- Tap ‘See all’ next to the ‘People’ section.
- A ‘Contacts’ window will pop up. To create a new beneficiary just tap ‘Create new contact’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
To set up a new payee from the 'Home' tab:
- Open your Kroo app and tap 'Send' - you'll find it right under the balance of your account on the 'Home' tab.
- You'll see a list of your existing contacts. To add a new one, simply tap the 'Create new contact' button at the bottom of the page and follow the on-screen instructions.
Please note that the Kroo app will ask you to grant access permission to your phone contacts if you're trying to send money to someone new. However, if you prefer not to share the contact details with the Kroo app - simply ignore the access prompt and you will be able to set your payees manually.
After you add a new payee, this information will go through the confirmation of the payee process where we’ll check the payee’s details to prevent you from sending money to the wrong recipient and protect you from potential fraud or scams.
