3D Secure (3DS) is a security standard that adds a layer of safety to online credit and debit card transactions.

When 3DS is initiated, you’ll receive a mobile notification and you'll need to approve the payment in the Kroo app.

How does 3DS work?

• Enter your card details for an online transaction.

• If the transaction needs to be authenticated, the merchant displays a window that asks you to verify your payment in the Kroo app.

• In the Kroo app, you'll receive a notification asking you to either approve or reject the payment.

If you don’t recognise the requested transaction, please consider freezing your card and contact our Customer Support team as soon as possible.

Please note transactions may be unsuccessful due to insufficient funds or if any incorrect details are entered during the purchase (such as an incorrect billing address).
