Confirmation of Payee.

When I want to make a payment to a new payee, do I have to provide the first and last name?

Yes - you now need to know someone’s full first name and last name, their sort code and account number and whether it is a personal or business account if you are going to pay them.

If you are making a payment to someone whose account is held by a Building Society or to a credit card you may also need the roll/reference number for that account.
